Navicore Partners’ Fall 2025 HBCU College Tour offers high-achieving African American male students a life-changing opportunity to explore Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the Southeast. We’re seeking dedicated, professional adult chaperones to help guide and support these students throughout this transformative journey.

Section 2: Responsibilities of a Chaperone

Chaperones play a vital role in the success and safety of the Navicore Partners HBCU College Tour. All chaperones are expected to:

  • Serve as a role model and uphold Navicore’s values of excellence, respect, and professionalism.

  • Contact (via phone or email introduction) assigned students and parents prior to trip departure.

  • Attend both scheduled chaperone and student orientation sessions.

  • Supervise and monitor students at all times, ensuring punctuality, safety, and engagement.

  • Assist with student check-ins, attendance, room assignments, and group transitions.

  • Attend all scheduled tours, group meetings, and events.

  • Report incidents, injuries, or concerns immediately to Navicore staff.

  • Support the enforcement of rules and expectations as outlined by Navicore Partners and tour guidelines.

  • Maintain a substance-free environment (no alcohol, drugs, or smoking permitted during tour activities).

Section 3: Chaperone Guidelines

All chaperones must agree to abide by the following:

  • Treat all students, staff, and school representatives with respect and dignity.

  • Use discretion and professionalism in all interactions.

  • Remain with assigned student groups as directed.

  • Maintain confidentiality when appropriate.

  • Avoid favoritism or inappropriate relationships with students.

  • Participate in required pre-trip orientations and debriefings.

  • Follow all local laws, school regulations, and Navicore policies.

Section 4: Insurance and Liability

Navicore Partners maintains general liability insurance coverage for all sanctioned trips and events. However, chaperones are:

  • Encouraged to maintain their own health and/or travel insurance during the duration of the tour.

  • Required to sign a liability waiver acknowledging the risks involved with travel and student supervision.

  • Expected to notify Navicore of any limitations that may affect their ability to travel or perform duties.

Section 5: Background Clearance Certification

All chaperones must undergo a background check before final approval is granted and provide proof of completion.
